Diagnostics

Courses Content

  • Learn how to fully understand and appreciate the various types of sensors, ECU’s, actuators, circuits, sub circuits and components incorporated in automotive electrical/electronic system(s). Fully understand the various settings and relevant test procedures required to check and test automotive electrical/electronic circuits, sub systems and components using DMM/DVOM. Introduction to the practical use of an Oscilloscope and Analogue and Digital sensors.

Electronic Braking Systems

Courses Content

  • On completing this course participants will be able to test procedures on all electronic braking systems and understand the full capabilities of these systems. Use diagnostic test equipment in the correct manner to find faulty components, replace and recode if necessary. Identify new ADAS technologies.

  • Prerequisites: This is a Senior Technician Course and so participants are required to complete Hella Training Academy On-line Basic Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Electrics and Electronic Equipment Level 2 course before attending this Electronic Braking System course.

Mobile Refrigerant Handling Certification (F-GAS)

Courses Content

  • In this two day course you will gain an understanding of the legislation surrounding F-Gases, the health and safety issues and show what precautions need to be taken when handling refrigerant.

  • Delegates will be tested on their ability to recover, test and recharge a mobile air conditioning system. Give an overview regarding the 1234YF Legislation.

  • Possess a basic knowledge of Binary to understand PID (Parameter Identification) and Node identification. A basic understanding of the operation of various wireless Automotive systems RF, Bluetooth, WLAN. Possess a basic understanding and have an appreciation automotive ECU design and EMC compliance/conformities’, safety precautions when working on Automotive electronic systems, understanding and prevention of excessive transients, reverse polarity and an understanding of E Marking.
